Overview
The Provincial Procurement Secretariat is a program hence an office established under the office of the Provincial Administrator to oversee and facilitate the procurement process within the Provincial Government regarding Capital Investment Program which include Projects captured under the West New Britain Trust Investment Program and Provincial Service Improvement Program. Its establishment has been given prominence in the National Procurement Act 2018 through the 2021 Amendments to provide secretarial services to the Provincial Procurement Committee.

Programs & Services
The Provincial Procurement Secretariat office delivers the following services:
- Public tender
Facilitating an open bidding process for provincial projects.
- Procurement authorization
Review and issuing certificates of inexpediency (COI) for urgent or non-standard procurement requests.
- Compliance Monitoring
Ensuring Procurement and contracting of projects are in line with the National Procurement Act 2018, the National Financial Management Act 1995, and the Government’s Standard Operating Procedure, while collaborating with the Division of Technical Services and Division of Planning, Coordination and Monitoring for project inspections and monitoring
- Asset disposal
Managing the legal disposal of government asset.
- Contract support
Assist with the evaluation and awarding processes for contracts at the Provincial level.
