For the first time since Papua New Guinea gained independence in 1975, the people of Imane, Rakuare, Sumi, Roalmonda, and surrounding communities in the remote Aiya Local Level Government (LLG) of Kagua Erave District, Southern Highlands, are celebrating the arrival of roadworks machinery that has cut through the jungle and reached the Isolated Community.
