Western Highlands Governor Wai Rapa has called for a complete cessation of betelnut sales and consumption within and around Mt. Hagen City. The Governor made the impassioned plea during a parliamentary session on Tuesday, describing betelnut as an “eye-sore” in the provincial capital.
