Papua New Guinea (PNG) has taken a major step in the fight against polio, with the arrival of more than 4.6 million life-saving vaccine doses to kickstart a nationwide immunisation blitz.

The shipment of novel oral polio vaccine type 2 (nOPV2) touched down in the capital Port Moresby in the early hours of Friday.
