The exclusion of sugar from the newly announced list of 13 Goods and Services Tax (GST) Zero-rated essential household items was a deliberate policy decision aimed at promoting healthier living, according to the Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) Commissioner General, Mr. Sam Koim.
