Overview
The Division of Human Resources is established to perform the HR functions of the National Department of Personnel Management in the Province. Its main responsibility is to provide effective and efficient human resource management services to the West New Britain Provincial Government. It plays a critical role in strengthening the Organization’s capacity by delivering quality HR services to public servants, enabling them to better provide public goods and services to the people of West New Britain.

Key Responsibilities
The Division is responsible for:
- Human Resource Planning and Development
- Recruitment, Selection, and Performance Management
- Processing of payroll, Benefits, and Employee Entitlement
- Employee Records and Information Management
- Employee Relations and Compliance with Acts and Legislation that govern public service employment
- Staff Disciplinary and Arbitration Services
Programs & Services
The Division of Human Resources Management delivers the following programs and services:
- Human Resource Management– Administers and oversees HRM services within the division and the whole organization and strengthens collaboration with stakeholders.
- Organization Development– Development and review of the Organization structure, workforce planning, and staffing requirements.
- Staff Learning and Development– Organizing induction and orientation program for new staff, and career development training for existing staff
- Staff and Salary Affairs– Payroll processing and administration, and benefits and entitlements facilitation and management.
- Industrial Relations– Manage staff welfare and facilitate dispute resolution on staff disciplinary matters.
