
The story of STEM Education in Papua New Guinea (PNG) began with humble beginnings and has now gained widespread recognition across the nation. A decade ago, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education was not a major focus in PNG’s education system. However, recognizing its significance for national development, the government has since established key Schools of Excellence to promote STEM learning and integrate STEM curriculum in selected and established schools of excellence around the country.
