The counting for the Aitape-Lumi by-election is nearing its end, with former Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer Patrick Pruaitch trailing Anderson Mise this morning.
As it stands, Mise is leading with 19,793 votes, Pruaitch is in second place with 9,164, and lawyer Tony Waisi has 5,844. Counting began on Saturday, August 2nd, with the Urban LLG, and continued after service on Sunday.
