The West New Britain Provincial Assembly has passed its 2026 budget of K401,494,839 million. Governor and Chairman of Finance Sasindran Muthuvel handed down the budget which all Assembly Members described as fair to all Sectors including the LLGs.This is an increase of four percent which is K16,623,284 from last year’s budget of K387,871,555.Governor Muthuvel said there is a slight increase in Teachers Salaries, Administration and Function Grants, Goods and Services Tax remittance and Land Transport Fees and Charges.He said our theme for 2026 ‘Empowering WNB: Resilient Communities through Sustaiable Investments’ is our solemn commitment to every mother in our markets, every student in our classrooms and every farmer in our oil palm bl9cksand rural areas of our beautiful WNB.Budget breakups will be posted soon.
